Visiting Lecturers
A brief introduction to visiting lecturers at PTC.

Academic Year 2012

We are working on a number of invitations to visiting lecturers for 2012 to make our academic programmes even better, exposing our students to a great variety of scholars from different parts of the world.

Academic Year 2011

Rev. Prof. Jonathan Lawrence, Ph.D., M.Div., B.A.

We were fortunate to welcome Prof. Jonathan Lawrence from Buffalo, NY, U.S.A, to assist us with some teaching in Old Testament. He joined us for BD and MTh course in a four-week intensive mode in September 2011. Prof. Lawrence is a Baptist minister currently teaching as Associate Professor in the Department of Religious Studies and Theology, Canisius College, Buffalo, NY (a Jesuit liberal arts college). He holds a B.A. from Haverford College; a M.Div. from Pittsburg Theological Seminary; and a Ph.D. in Theology (Christianity and Judaism in Antiquity) from the University of Notre Dame, IN, U.S.A. More information about him may be found at http://www.epsilen.com/lawrenc7 . Following his work-visit to PTC, he wrote up his experience for the Society of Biblical Literature's Institutional Collaboration Initiative, making 'headline news' on the SBL website (http://www.sbl-site.org/ ). The report itself may be found at http://www.sbl-site.org/assets/pdfs/ICI_FijiFinal.pdf , or by clicking on the picture below.
