At PTC since February 2004. Miss Deidre Madden is from rural Western Australia. She studied agriculture at the University of Western Australia then got a Diploma of Education and taught at an agricultural high school before becoming advisory teacher/curriculum officer for the WA Education Department. In 1983 she went to Martyrs' Memorial School in PNG and taught there for 3 years, a life-changing experience. Returning to WA she spent a year at Royal Perth Hospital training as a chaplain then studied theology at Murdoch University. She worked for the next 14 years among Indigenous Australians at Nungalinya College in Darwin, teaching theology and coordinating the extension education programme. In 1999 she studied at the Melbourne College of Divinity and obtained her TheolM in Hebrew Bible. While working at PTC as Director of PTC Education by Extension, she obtained a Master of Education (Distance, Rural) by extension through Charles Sturt University. |
