On a bright afternoon on Thursday, November 12th, about 200 people from around Suva and beyond witnessed the 42nd graduation ceremony. It included 44 graduates. The graduates received awards in Practical Arts, Women's Fellowship Development Programme and Theology. Twelve students received the Master of Theology, two with distinction.
The guest of honour and keynote speaker was Mrs Suliano Siwatibau, biologist and community development consultant, from the Methodist Church in Fiji and Rotuma. She reminded the graduates that they were called to be leaders and that they have the potential to bring about changes, not only among their people, but throughout the whole Pacific region.
“Changes are a natural process of life and our region is not exceptional.”
The Principal, Rev Dr Uili Feleterika Nokise (Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa-New Zealand), gave a report of PTC’s activity over the year. He talked about some of the future plans and thanked staff, students and various donors for their support.
The Acting Chairperson of the PTC Council and Executive, Mr Feilo’akitau Kahu Tevi, General Secretary of the Pacific Council of Churches, presented the certificates and conferred the degrees.
